cotswold retreat.

12th - 14th May 2025

Cotswolds, UK

join me.

renew.

An exploration of renewal, revival and expansion. An opportunity to take an Intentional Pause from daily life and to feel at ease. A welcoming space where you can be yourself, explore wellbeing practices more deeply, including various forms of mindfulness and meditation, gong sound healing, enjoying nourishing meals and connecting with the healing properties of the natural grounds surrounding us. A bespoke meditation journey has been created specifically for this retreat focusing on going inwards to find yourself in order to expand outwards with vibrancy and bliss; a reflection of this magical time of the year and an important moment to be with your soul without tick boxes, goals or judgement. Let your spirit guide you, let your intuition flow.

Dine on delicious in-season meals made with the freshest ingredients. You will be purposefully nourished by our very own private chef who is able to cater for all dietary needs. Think abundant brunches, beautiful afternoon teas and mouth-watering dinners! All based on nourishing your body and your soul.

We will share meaningful moments in community together as well as time to be alone to reflect and absorb. May is the perfect time to re-set and bloom into a warm summer filled with abundant potential and renewal!

As the evenings start to warm, we will sit under the stars and melt into the awe of simply being here together, in this moment. I’m so curious to see who will join. I’m excited to meet all of you!

If you’re looking for a PAUSE to heal your body and soul, this retreat is for you! Renew.

Your Cotswold Home.

Caswell House

Where I host my retreats is purposeful. It is important to me that I host you in places that feel like home; where you feel like you belong.

Caswell House is a warm embrace, one that I wish for you to feel too.

How I found myself visiting Caswell House is a story I will tell on the retreat, but it’s safe to say that synchronicity is real and good humans create beautiful scenarios together when alignment is meant to be.

Caswell House, dating back to 1485, is steeped in history. Once part of a medieval settlement in the south-west of Witney Parish and Curbridge Township, it is now home to the Matthews family. While most of the settlement has melted away with time, Caswell House and its barns remain and they are more beautiful than ever. Fully renovated to the highest standards and noticeably loved and cared for. The name "Caswell" likely originates from a nearby "cress-stream," a small watercourse. Today, the estate retains its own natural spring, a lasting source of Caswell’s renowned spring water, connecting the historic property to its rich and enduring past.

A dream location for us to gather and RENEW.

  • Rest.

  • Nourish.

  • Experience.

  • Create.

  • Gather.

  • Immerse in nature.

Katie Mantwa George - Retreat Host, Meditation & Sound Guide

Hello! I’m an Empathy Guide and Founder of Being Human Well. My passion is to highlight the importance of cultivating a sense of ease and belonging in ourselves (and in our workplaces). I’m based in London, but was born in eSwatini to a South African mother from Soweto and English father from Dorset. I’ve lived mostly in the UK, but also spent some time living in Cape Town. I frequently visit Southern Africa and India and have a deep love for the vibrant green British countryside too.

Meditation and sound are my primary tools to serve and support others as they embrace a sense of ease and belonging. I also enjoy holding space for meaningful conversations and ideas.

I run retreats in the UK and overseas and I’m also a meditation expert on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place Wellness App and on the YourHaven platform. I left a15-year corporate career to use my leadership knowledge and blend of unique personal life experiences to inspire a more human approach to how we live our lives. I have lived many lives in my 40 years and for this I am grateful; I see the world from a myriad of perspectives.

I hold a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Occupational Psychology and a Meditation Certification (Deepak Chopra’s Teacher Training). I also trained with the Dalai Lama in India and am a certified gong practitioner. You are in safe hands.

My blend of Vedic, African and Western practices create something unique and inclusive for all human beings.

Joining us and bringing additional nourishment to our bodies and souls will be Saori and Katrina.

A dream team! It’s truly wonderful to be hosting with these incredible souls!

Saori Okada - Founder of Mogami 最上 Wellness

Saori Okada, Founder of Mogami 最上 Wellness, offers an authentic Japanese perspective on holistic well-being. With over 25 years of experience in Japanese calligraphy, practising under her gifted name 星洗 (Seisen), Saori brings a deep connection to Japanese traditions and mindfulness.

Her personal healing journey, shared in her memoir "Until the Death of Me - A 15-Year Eating Disorder Recovery Journey", inspired her to help others nurture their mind, body, and soul. A Certified Transformation Nutrition Coach (ITN) and registered UK Health Coach, Saori combines her cultural heritage with a professional background to guide immersive wellness experiences.

At this retreat, Saori will lead a Japanese calligraphy mindfulness session, an ancient practice that serves as a moving meditation—helping participants slow down, cultivate presence, and connect creatively through mindful brush strokes.

Katrina Whittaker - Retreat Chef

Katrina is a Leith’s-trained chef with over 20 years of experience creating food that nourishes and inspires. Her passion lies in cooking for wellness retreats, where food becomes part of the healing journey – supporting the body, mind and spirit.

She believes that eating well is about balance, mindfulness, and connection. Her menus are nutritious and full of flavour. They are crafted with locally sourced seasonal ingredients, and she takes great care to understand the unique energy of each retreat.

Her cooking is influenced by a wide range of global cuisines, including Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Sri Lankan, and Burmese. Drawing inspiration from her extensive travels and a deep understanding of nutrition, she brings innovative twists to every dish she creates.

Katrina has worked in private homes, luxury villas, yachts, and on film sets across the globe, honing her craft and embracing diverse culinary traditions. In addition to her work as a chef, she enjoys writing recipes and developing content for cookbooks and publications.

  • No. The meditation sessions start off gently with practical guidance and explanations. This is a great retreat to learn more about meditation as well as practice different types, even if you already meditate a lot. The Gong Bath meditations are deeply relaxing and no previous experience is required at all.

  • You know the British weather can be unpredictable, but as it will be late spring, early summer, it should be truly beautiful with everything in bloom! We should also have clear nights to star gaze and gather around the outdoor fire which is a deeply healing way to spend an evening.

  • Yes, there will be breaks between meditation, workshops and meals.

  • Deposits are not refundable, but transfers to another person can be done up to 7 days before the retreat.

Cancellations can be made a month before the retreat, but your refund will not be refunded.

Deposits can be transferred to other Being Human Well retreats and events and always contact me to ask further questions; I will always do my best to make this as fair as possible.

  • You are welcome to book 1:1 sessions with me or Saori after the retreat if you feel you would like to process anything that moved you during our time away. Please speak to us about what these services could be.

  • Yes you can, but be quick! The accommodation is spread across multiple buildings on the site including some 2 and 3 bedroom cottages with their own lounges and kitchens.
